Easy Easy Easy! I was skeptical at first, especially never hearing about a Sous Vide lol. I talked to some friends and a couple have heard of Sous Vide cooking, but not many. The ones who had heard of it, seemed to be all onboard with it, or heard amazing things. I decided to call Sous Chef and get some more info, besides what I had read on cooking forums and saw in youtube videos. 

I wanted my questions answered, and to feel confident in my purchase, like everything else I do. My biggest concern with the Sous Vide was cooking in plastic, especially for my kids. I am not a big fan of cooking, reheating, and using plastic in my kitchen. After calling in my call was picked up almost immediately which I was not expecting compared to other companies of their caliber. I spoke to Brendan for a good hour on the phone. He helped me understand the benefits, different uses, but more importantly address my concern of cooking in plastic. I was not aware that the device cooks at temps you chose to fit your liking, and at dramatically lower temperatures than traditional cooking. Microwaves heat food at 212 degrees, the same temp as boiling water, unlike Sous Vide cooking which averages 140 degrees. The temp range is dramatically lower, and safe to use. Plastic is guaranteed to be safe up to 230 degrees for long periods of time. A dramatically lower temperature than any other way of cooking. Brendan made a great point of asking me how I make my coffee in the morning and I obviously answered my keurig. He staed the water that comes out of my coffee maker is over 200 degrees, from a random plastic that is not an approved or researched plastic like the bags they sell and recommend using on their site. He showed me all the approved safety measures they go through before selling any food grade plastic. 

After speaking to Brendan for an hour on the phone about how the sous vide I felt confident that this was the right choice! My Sous Vide came within 3 business days, and showed right up on my doorstep. I opened it up and tried making chicken, steak, and veggies the following nights. The ease of use, freedom from watching over my food worrying about over cooking, and setting timers is now in the past. I can't emphasize enough how much I love my Sous Vide. Sous Chef helped me the whole way by answering all my questions, making me feel confident it was a safe way to cook for my family, and giving me above and beyond customer service. I can’t thank Brendan and the Sous Chef team enough for the mountain of information they supplied me. I recommend Sous Chef 10/10 times to anyone who is interested in cooking hassle free and stress free.
